A message from Father Lawrence

Dear Parents,

I am so proud of our School. We know that our school is a good school because of what we know about it. Our children are a delight, and a real credit to their parents. Kind & caring, polite, well-behaved and welcoming, our pupils value one another; and are appreciative of the excellent opportunities open to them, provided by our dedicated and talented teaching staff - you can hear a pin drop in classrooms while lessons are being taught. And you’ve only to be around during the dinner time & play-time breaks to see & hear how happily our boys & girls get on together!

Our School, of course, is a Church School which, we believe, makes a huge difference for the good in the education and experience of our young people. Spiritual things really matter; and our children recognise this, revealing their understanding in so many ways. Governors, Headteacher & staff have a real concern for the all-round well-being of everyone who makes up the family of our School, parents included! I am particularly delighted with increased impact of the role of the chaplains within school. Their role further cements the schools community's Christian Values for all.

You may not be present at School during the school day, once your children are safely deposited within the School premises, but your involvement and interest are vital. Please pray for our School: for the children, of course; but also for those who play such a full and influential part in their growth and development – our Headteacher and staff, support teams and visitors, our Governors, our Church and, above all, Almighty God – as we pray for you.

                                                                                                Father Lawrence.

Welcome to R.E!

As a church school we believe R.E. underpins the whole curriculum by developing a child’s moral and spiritual being. We aim to challenge and support all pupils and offer a variety of approaches and engaging activities in order to motivate and encourage learning.

Our R.E. teaching is governed by the School Trust Deed. We follow the Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education Syllabus for RE which reflects the National Framework for RE.

We teach creatively, using a wide range of approaches and resources.
