Welcome to Our School
I am delighted to welcome you to our Christian school family. Following our school Christian Vision we aim for all to reach their potential together through Christ by following John 10:10 “living and living splendidly,” enhancing the learning progress and life experiences of all our children.
As a Church of England school, we are committed to our strong Christian ethos and we are proud of the close links we have with St Mary Magdalen’s Church, Accrington. We work closely with Father David our church priest, and our amazing board of governors who support our school in many ways.
Through our distinctive Christian character and dedicated team we have a well-deserved reputation for the significant contribution that we make to the personal and academic achievement of all our children. Our dedicated and professional team work hard to ensure that high standards are maintained, at the same time delivering stimulating and engaging lessons which inspire and enthuse our children.
We believe in challenging and supporting children through a curriculum that is written and consistently reviewed with our unique children in mind. We have a structured target setting process to enable us to support progress as new skills are developed along their school journey.
The success of our school and our children is very much dependent on a partnership between parents, carers, families, and the local community. We operate an “open door” policy and parents, and visitors are always welcome. There will always be someone happy to listen and hear your views.
The children are at the heart of St Mary Magdalen's, and their needs are at the forefront of our school’s ethos. Ofsted reported in October 2021 on how the school goes the extra mile for it’s pupils.
Through the teaching of God’s word my belief is driven by Ephesians Ch 6 by embracing the armour of God, we prepare our children for all challenges that lie before them, enabling the learners to ‘live and live splendidly’ John 10:10 by Reaching our Potential Together in Christ.
