Welcome to R.E!

As a church school we believe R.E. underpins the whole curriculum by developing a child’s moral and spiritual being. We aim to challenge and support all pupils and offer a variety of approaches and engaging activities in order to motivate and encourage learning.

Our R.E. teaching is governed by the School Trust Deed. We follow the Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education Syllabus for RE which reflects the National Framework for RE.

We teach creatively, using a wide range of approaches and resources.

At St. Mary Magdalen’s, we are proud to have a wonderful, tight-knit, relationship between our church and school families. We regularly come together to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to our community. We are delighted to have regular acts of worship, both in church and in school, and we enjoy providing a listening ear at our ‘coffee on the yard’ mornings. As a church we have an unshakable commitment to serving our school in all aspects of our shared life together in Accrington. With the love and joy of Jesus Christ in our hearts and minds, there is a bright future for all those in our community.
